Plot

All that is known about the plot is Burt, Earl and Val are going to Australia, but the reason why is unknown, but is possibly to hunt Graboids, Shriekers and Ass Blasters. Tremors 5 was to feature Ass Blasters congregating in special geologic areas, each laying a single egg.[3]

Cast

Note: None of this cast is true anymore, despite the references. Stamepede Entertainment has confirmed that this movie is not filming.

Fred Ward Earl Bassett[4] (confirmed)
Michael Gross Burt Gummer[5] (confirmed)
Kevin Bacon Val McKee (confirmed)
Paul Hogan (rumored)[6] (rumored)

Production

This is a direct quote from the Stampede Entertainment site:

"Yes, there was some brief, guarded interest in Tremors 5. Hollywood politics being what they are, we must be secretive about the players. We can say at present (October 2009) that Tremors 5 may not be completely dead. But it’s only un-dead, not alive. (And if it’s 2019 as you read this, and there has still been no Tremors 5, this answer is then “Yes, but it died again.”)""

Here's another quote from Stampede Entertainment's site:

"It was all about the Burt you know and love in a wild new adventure. The overkill was awesome."
—Stampede Entertainment[src]

It might be a plot spoiler for the film, but it is currently unknown what it means.

As of August 31, 2010, Stampede Entertainment confirmed that this movie is not in production, and they contacted IMDB to remove the IMDB page about it.[7]
